One of the most important contributors to the Tijuana Bible genre, Wesley Morse is best known for his 1939 World's Fair eight pagers as well as a host of other delightful comics with lighthearted themes. Although many of these comics have been reprinted ad infinitum, there is a group that remains almost unknown. These are Morse's Celebrity comics!

They call him "Blackjack", named for the gnarled, leathery cocks of his horny heroes. It's a name handed down through several generations of Tijuana Bible collectors.

Collecting Tijuana Bibles is fraught with danger, not from seedy underworld types, but from unknowledgeable and even conveniently ignorant sellers, who proclaim their fourth or fifth generation reprint as "an original Tijuana Bible", with total confidence. As collectors, we all "pay our dues" to gain experience and knowledge, though that doesn't make getting burned less painful.

In '69, a printer and comics fan began reprinting high quality 8 pagers from an Ann Street loft in downtown NYC. As a homage, he solicited comic book pros and produced some of the best 8 pagers ever ... all with excellent artwork and solid gags!

Though Dagwood in "All in a Day's Work" has become popular from it's inclusion in the Adelson book, the rest of these 8 pagers are relatively unknown to most collectors.

Leading the pack in perversion is Little Evie in "Lollipop Lover", a tale of Incest so graphic, just holding it, raises the fear of prosecution.

Betty Boobs in "The Prophet" has the sexiest drawn women to ever grace an 8 pager, and is a must have item for any Tijuana Bible afficianato.

Jud Saxon in "Caught" continues the theme of office shenanigans; Buck Rogers' low gravity sex acrobatics get out of control in "Lust in Space" , Little Orphan Annie takes on Hitler & his Nazi Pals in "Joint Action", while Blondey & Dagwood are forced to fuck for their pet pooch's entertainment in "Upsy Daisy".
